Inseparable Teacher Resource – Information for Participating Teachers
About Inseparable
Inseparable is a ground-breaking live educational theatre project for schools, inspired by survivor testimonies of the Bosnian War. Developed by Collingwood Learning in partnership with Beyond Srebenica and supported by the Gordon Cook Foundation, Inseparable educates young people about the conflict, the Srebrenica Genocide, and the lessons we can learn today.
Online Resource
This online resource will help more schools and young audiences across Scotland access Inseparable. This easy-to-use guided digital experience uses a film of the live theatre performance with associated activities to engage and inspire students.
Key Features
- To be used from the front of the classroom by a teacher, as a group activity
- Consists of 2 x 60-minute lessons featuring the powerful Inseparable play
- Easily split into shorter bitesize modules
- Designed for Scottish Schools, specifically S4 – 6 students
Important Information
In the live experience, the connection to the events in Bosnia are only revealed to the students after they have seen the play.
We therefore recommend launching the resource with students without giving any background historical context.
